REQUIRED SYMPTOMS FOR ROOT CANAL TREATMENT
Toothache/Tooth Pain is the most common presenting complaint that one may require a Root Canal Treatment. The pain may vary from mild to severe. However, over a course of time, sufferer may experience continuous pain.
REPURCUSSION OF NOT GETTING RCT
If you feel that it goes away, it does not mean that the tooth is healthy; on the other hand, this means that the nerves within the tooth are already dead and the infection on the root part of the tooth has multiplied many folds.
The infectious bacteria have the capacity to get into the tissues found in gum and jaw areas and this will lead to severe infections in the form of pus formation. Even this will lead to worsening of severe conditions like stroke and heart disease.
STEPS FOR ROOT CANAL THERAPY
Step 1
Before starting the treatment X-ray by RVG is taken to determine the extent of the infection. Painless local anesthesia is given before the treatment is started.
Step 2
A hollow space is created; all infected dental material or old filling substance is eliminated to reach the interior part of the tooth (pulp).
Step 3
Followed by disinfection and preparation of the pulp canal. The infected pulp tissue is removed completely. At times, disinfection of the canal is done by using laser.
Step 4
The sterilized and sanitized canals are subsequently packed and secured with a thermally treated inert filling substance referred to as Gutta-Percha.
